Yesterday, as a returning to school treat, my daughter and I ventured to our local cinema to see Flushed Away. We are both fans of animated films like Toy Story, The Incredibles, Shark Tale. We first saw this film advertised months ago. It looked good in the trailers, but don't they all?
Anyway, this film did not disappoint. It is fast, furious and funny and equally as well done as most mainstream animated films. It has been said by some reviewers that the story is a bit thin. Maybe so, but it more than makes up for it with some truly wacky characters, especially the slugs.
If you can catch it where you are, give it a shot. If not wait for the DVD and buy or rent it.
